264024 <ecoyle@t...> 2017‑11‑22 file storage.....as in metal files
Ya I know that files should be protected, , but just recently I purchased a few
more patternmakers files, to add to the morasse of files, and on an impulse
purchased from abebooks a catalogue of nicholson xf swiss pattern files. So know
I know that there’s more files to get (scary thought)

I generally pass on really dull and abused files now-unlike in y younger years-,
but one file drawer is full of the larger files, and another filled with rasps
from big to small, and yet another is filled with small ‘swiss pattern” files
and rifflers of the finer sort. And they do run the gamut from tangible teeth
to the so fine you’d hardly think they were files ...and then there's the
watchmakers files that you’d think were just needles utntil you look at them
under the microscope

Well I don’t have much to go on in this pursuit of storage facilitation, having
only purchased one patternmakers tool chests where the swiss pattern files were
handled by old glass cutter handles and stacked upright, so I was wondering if
the illuiminati could share their experience about seeing various and sundry
‘PATTERNMAKER” file storage systems. that they may have seen or encountered
along the way over the years....were there drawers, tool rolls or whatever

I’ve had alerts on searches for Drill bit storage cabinets, and have had a
plethora pf responses, but generally been disappointed as they all seem to show
storage for right hand twist bits and maybe Forstner, but ignore number/letter
/augers of all ilks/ left hand/orifice/jewelers......but nothing comprehensive
