263333 "M. Westerman" <mwester@c...> 2017‑09‑19 Photo sharing site
Gentle Galoots,
I have a number pieces of old iron, mostly Stanley, that I would like to
offer for sale here.  Most of it is from my Dad's estate, and a little
from my stash.
For each item, I want to show a text description and a link to at least
one photo of the item (similar to what Patrick Leach does on
supertool.com).  This is my first rodeo in doing this and I would
appreciate a little direction.
- What is the best photo sharing site for me to use for this purpose
(the simpler the better)?
- I assume that Monday (Flea Market Monday) is the normal day to offer
sales, or is this a bygone tradition?
Thank you all in advance for any help,
Mark Westerman

Two that I use are

https://www.flickr.com

https://postimages.org/ Both free.
Flickr is part of yahoo, and requires an account, and postimage is, as far as I
know, independent, and does not require an account. Flickr lets you remove
images and adjust privacy, PI is forever, or until they disappear.

Mark, there is nary a frown upon any For Sale post any day you’d like it.

I’m looking forward to the responses about the photo sharing solutions.

Dealing with your dads estate means a death or worse. I feel for you, and I’m
sorry about all the suffering.

A few years ago we re-instated the FMM tradition, so Monday actually
is the proper day for sale postings. I don't think you'll get many
complaints if you were to post on a different day of the week, but you
might get less action since many folks know to look on Mondays.

I try to keep the FAQ up to date, so if you have questions of that
sort, it's a worthwhile read:
