They say the only cure for mildew is sunlight, but personally I think
oxygen is a big part.
In the winter when its wet I have to be really careful with bath
towels. They want to mildew at the drop of a hat.
I accidentally found that if I hang one in front of a running fan and
force air though it? It kills the mildew in minutes flat. Its become a
customary thing for me. Use the towel then hang it over a running fan
for a few minutes, then go ahead and hang it normally to finish dry. It
gets me by.
Meanwhile I would put my bowl where the sun can get to it for a day or
two?
Oh also, another trick.
My mother used to live in east Texas. You could literally swim down
the street from the humidity. Unlike anything else I ever experienced.
The bathroom was a continuous struggle for everyone. Mold would sprout
so fast and fierce as to grab you in the shower and take you down.
It was discovered that lemon oil furniture polish would keep it at
bay when nothing else would.
All the girls in Hemphill Texas swear by it.
yours Scott
