Autumn is in the air what the the cooler mornings and the trees starting
to show a kiss of color. But the flea markets are still going strong
and stuff keeps showing up. There are lots of new and usable tools in
here as well as a good run of collectibles.

to get from there to here.

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Oldtools terms, except on items and orders over $100, if I don't know ya
or haven't done business in the past (and my records good way back..)
then it's pre-pay. I do take PayPal (except as noted). Prices do not
include shipping. All items are shipped with Delivery Confirmation.
Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item is optional.
Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via First Class

Stanley SW No 65 Chamfer Spoke Shave Or Spokeshave. This weighs 12 oz
unboxed. This is in good condition and was lightly cleaned. The sole
and the faces of the wings are good other than the factory machining
marks. The japanning is original, 99% on the body, there are a some
chips on the edges of the wings. The cap is good. The SW blade has
some light patina on the exposed area but the cutting face is clean and
this looks to be close to, if not, the original length. The blade will
need a sharpening. All the screws work and were oiled. This ain't 100%
minty but all things being equal in a hand grenade tossing contest, well
it sure ain't bad. $80.00

Sargent VBM No 409C Smoothing Or Smoothing Plane. This weighs 3 lbs 5
1/2 oz unboxed. This is a Type 4 and was made by Sargent between 1910
and 1918. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. Note this is
straight, any bending you see is because of camera lens distortion,
although why folks would think that I would sell a bent plane is beyond
me. The sides have some frosting, dings, and scratches. The sole has
some frosting and scratches as well. The japanning is original and
about 80%. The lever cap has some frosting and I did oil the lever
because it was squeaking and squeaking annoys me. The chipbreaker has
some light patina. The blade also has some some light patina on the
exposed areas and back. The cutting face has some scuffs but that is
clean otherwise. There are some chips on the edge but the blade will
need a sharpening anyway. The tote is good, the knob has some dings on
the top and a small check down at the base. All the screws work and
were oiled. This ain't minty but then 100 year old tools rarely are.

Gillett Bristol England 8/8 Side Bead Molding Plane. This weighs 1 lb 4
1/4 oz unboxed. The Gillett family made planes and other tools in
Bristol England from 1801 until 1859. This is in good condition, the
body was cleaned by someone else, I just prettied up the iron a little.
Note this is straight, any bending you see is because of camera lens
distortion. The body is good other than a small chip off of the top of
the toe, a couple of thin checks at the heel, some tiny dings on the
body, and the usual hammer dings on the heel. There is a user name
proudly stamped at both ends. The sole and boxing are good and the
mouth is tight and was never messed with. The wedge is good with no
cracks. The cutting face of the iron has some staining but nothing
serious patina wise. That will need a sharpening. These big side beads
do no show up very often and rarely in this kind of shape. $30.00

Vintage Dunlap 10 Inch Draw Knife Or Drawknife. Measuring 15 3/4"
overall, the blade is 9 15/16" long, 1 7/16" wide across the edge, and
this weighs 1 lb 2 3/4 oz unboxed. Dunlap was one of the brand names
used by Sears on their tools. This is in decent condition overall and
was cleaned. The back of the blade is frosted overall and there are a
few tiny deeper dots. The edge is good other than a few very small
dings. There is some dinging on the top of the blade and I cleaned some
mushrooming off both sides. The front of the blade also has some
frosting and light patina. Both handles have some dings and stains but
they have most of the original finish. They are both on tight. The
ferrules and end caps also have some frosting going. This ain't minty
but I sure haven't been seeing too many of these bigger ones around that
are. $40.00

Disston & Morss 12 Inch Cabinet Makers Try Square. Measuring 14 1/8"
overall, the blade is 12 1/4" long, 2 3/8" high, this is 7 7/8" overall
in height, and this weighs 11 3/4 unboxed. This is in decent condition
overall and was cleaned. The blade has some light spots of pitting
except for by the handle on the front where there are some deeper spots.
The blade still retains some of the original bluing. The edges and
corners are good. The handle is mahogany. That has some dings and
stains, just the usual wear. This looks to be true according to the
flip test but it ain't no Starrett. This ain't the prettiest but
considering that it's well over the 100 year old mark, well it sure
ain't that bad and these bigger ones sure ain't been showing up any
prettier. $24.00

Millers Falls No 1950 Buck Rogers 10 Inch Sweep Brace. This weighs 2
lbs 8 1/4 oz unboxed. This model was made by Millers Falls between 1950
and 1976. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There
is a little patina on the frame and chuck shell but this guy wasn't left
out in the rain. The chuck and jaws are good and the ratchet works in
both directions and the locked setting. The plastic grip and pad have
some light dings and a few bits of paint that didn't want to come off
without out a fight. Both spin freely. This ain't minty but compared
to most of these that I see, well it sure ain't bad. $24.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/brace0901.jpg
Greenfield Tool Co 5/8 Inch Side Bead Molding Plane. This weighs 1 lb 1
oz unboxed. The Greenfield Tool Co was a Greenfield Mass plane maker in
business from 1851 until 1883. This is in reasonably good condition.
The only cleaning I did was to pretty up the iron a little. The body is
good other than a little chipping on the toe at the fence. The sole and
boxing are good is other than some stains and the mouth is tight. The
wedge is good with no noticeable wear. The iron does have a spot spot
of light pitting and some scuffs but nothing too bad. That will need a
quick sharpening. I gotta say that there aren't too many molding planes
of this age in this kind of condition around much at all. $23.00

Early Taylor Patent 10 Inch Sweep Iron Bitstock. Measuring 12 3/8"
long, the sweep is 10", and this weighs 2 lbs 1 1/2 oz unboxed. Not
signed as to the maker. Jeremy Taylor of Hebron, CT was granted Pat.
No. 9,814 on June 30, 1836 for the design of this tool. These were made
in several different styles by a number of manufacturers over the years.
This is in reasonably good condition for the age and was cleaned.
There is some light patina but nothing too bad. The chuck has a little
crusty inside but there are no cracks and the lever and tab are good.
The sheet iron pad was originally black japanned. Some of that remains
on the inside. There are a few spots of pitting on the outside. The
pad has a little play on the shaft but it spins freely. I did put a
drop of oil in the appropriate hole. I have have a few of these over
the years and they sure ain't getting any easier to find, especially in
this kind of shape. $30.00

AETCO 5/16 Inch Skew Edge Carving Tool Chisel. Measuring 4 5/16" from
the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 3 11/16" long, this is 9
3/8" overall, and this weighs 2 1/4 oz unboxed. The American Edge Tool
Company worked in or around the Philadelphia PA area, from the late
1940's until the early 1960's. This is in reasonably good condition
and was cleaned. It wasn't used much but it picked up some patina
setting around someplace. The blade has spots of frosting and staining
but nothing too bad. The handle has a few stained spots as well but
it's good otherwise. This ain't the fanciest but it will get the job
done. $14.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/chisel0905.jpg
Vintage No 10 Rivet Set Or Setter. Measuring 4 1/8" long, the dimple is
3/16" in diameter, the post hole is 1/8", and this weighs 3 1/2 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker, just stamped 8. This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There ain't much in the way
of patina other than some frosting. The hole and dimple are good with
little in the way of wear. The striking end is flared a little. These
guys sure ain't been showing up much of late, at least around these here
parts. $15.00

Helios Germany Starrett No 828 Style Machinist Wiggler Center Finder.
The body is 2 1/2" long and this weighs 1 1/4 unboxed. This is in used
but good condition and was not cleaned. There really ain't nothing to
fuss about with this guy. The body and chuck are good. The point is
quite pointy. Helios did make quality tools. $15.00

Hawthorne Vise Woodworking Bench Hook. Measuring 5 7/8" long, 3 1/8"
high, and this weighs 5 unboxed. This is used but good shape and was
not cleaned. There is a little bit of patina including a couple of dots
of paint but nothing too bad. Unlike some of these guys that are
stamped steel, this is cast aluminum. All you need is a couple of
screws and it's good to go. $18.00

Old Small Wood Handle Turnscrew Or Screwdriver. Measuring 5 1/4" long,
the tip is 1/8" wide, and this weighs 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to
the maker. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The blade has
some frosting, scratches, and a couple of dots of pitting. The tip is
good. The handle has some stains and light wear but that is good for
the most part. The blade is in tight with no help from me. This ain't
minty but these guys rarely are. $18.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/turnscrew0901.jpg
Hand Forged Blacksmith Hot Cut Chisel Head To Restore. Measuring 7 1/8"
long, the edge is 1 3/8" high, and this weighs 3 lbs 1/4 oz unboxed.
Not signed as to the maker. This is in reasonably good condition but
there is a problem. Read on. The body is fairly clean, not much in the
way of patina. The edge is good. The punched eye is good. Now for the
READ part. The striking end is cracked in the center and partially
around the edge. So that will need some work. But I hate to scrap this
guy and it sure didn't get here in the old tools donation box I have out
front. $16.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/blacksmith0903.jpg
Early Hand Forged Oyster Or Clam Shucking Knife. Measuring 7 3/16" long
and this weighs 9 1/2 oz unboxed. This is signed, but it's too worn to
read. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some
overall patina, pitting and what have you. The blade has some roughness
around the edge. The handle has some dings on the edges and one spot
that is fairly banged up. But this guy is solid. This ain't pristine
but these older ones got rode hard and put away wet more times than one
could count. $24.00

Very Early Hand Forged Carpenters Housewright Claw Hammer Head.
Measuring 4 5/8" long (straight across) and this weighs 13 3/4 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in fair condition and was
cleaned. This looks to be a dug item. This has a steel face on a
wrought iron body and the tops of the claws are lined with steel as
well. There is some overall pitting. The face has some chipping around
the edges and the claws have some chipping on the edges as well. The
punched eye has some crusty going and looking at the top, this may have
been a strap hammer when first made. This is what it is and it's not
what I would call a user but it does have some serious age to it. $20.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/earlyhammer0901.jpg
Blacksmith Hand Forged Double Face 1 3/4 lb Sledge Hammer Head.
Measuring 4 1/4" long, the one face is 1 1/4" wide, 1 1/8" high, the
other face is 1 1/8" wide, 1" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 11 1/2 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in decent condition and
was cleaned. The body has some light patina and some dings but nothing
too bad there. Both faces have some dings and a little chipping around
the edges. The punched eye is good to go. This ain't minty but for an
old dog, well it sure ain't bad either. $18.00

Twelve Cabinet Makers 2 Inch Pinch Dogs. They are 2" or so wide, 1/4"
thick at the top, and they weigh 1 lb 3 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as
to the maker. These are in used condition and were cleaned. There
ain't much in the way of patina but these were never real pretty to
start with. The tops are good, some of the tips will need some tending
too. These ain't the fanciest but they are working tools. $25.00

Two Old Sheet Metal Railroad Track Gages Or Sizers. The one on the left
is marked 100 B, 11, 6" high, 5 5/8" wide across the base, the one on
the right is marked 130 B, #6, that is 6 5/8" high, 8 3/8" wide, and
they weigh 11 oz unboxed. These are in decent condition and were
lightly cleaned. There is some patina from setting around, little
rusting and what have you. These are what they are but they are neat
collectibles. $20.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/trackgage0901.jpg
T H Witherby 5/8 Inch Socket Gouge. Measuring 8 7/8" from the edge to
the end of the socket, the blade is 6 1/8" long, 5/8" wide across the
outside of the sweep, this is 12 11/16" overall, and this weighs 6 oz
unboxed. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The blade has
some overall light frosting both on the inside and outside of the sweep.
Nothing too deep but it's there. The edge was last ground at a fairly
shallow angle. That will need some sharpening. The socket is good,
although I did clean a little mushrooming out of the inside. The handle
is an NOS replacement from my stash here and they don't get here for
free. This ain't minty but it will get the job done. $17.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/chisel0902.jpg
L S Starrett No 281 Machinist American Standard Wire Gauge. This weighs
3 1/4 unboxed. This is in used but good conditon and was not cleaned.
There is a band of some kind of stain on the front and a little wear to
the finish. The holes and notches are all clear and the edges are
crisp. This ain't minty but it sure ain't bad either. $15.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/machinisttool0901.jpg
L S Starrett No 162 Machinist Pin Vise. Measuring 3 3/4" long with the
chuck completely closed and this weighs 3/4 unboxed. There is no size
mark but it looks like a B to me. This is in decent condition and was
cleaned. The chuck and jaws are good. There is some wear to the cross
hatching on the shaft and chuck. The center is clear all the way
through. This ain't pristine but it will get the job done. $14.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/machinisttool0902.jpg
Moulson Brothers 7/16 Inch Gouge. Measuring 7 1/8" from the edge to the
top of the handle, the blade is 5 9/16" long, 7/16" wide across the
outside of the sweep, this is 13 9/16" overall, and this weighs 3 1/2 oz
unboxed. The Moulson Brothers were Sheffield England makers of edge and
other tools in business from 1828 until 1905. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned. There are some spots of light pitting and
frosting on the back and a few tiny deeper spots. Inside the sweep
there are more of the same. The edge isn't too bad but it will need
some work. The handle looks to be the original one. That has some
dings and stains and there is a user name stamped in a couple of places.
The handle is solid and the blade is in tight. This ain't pristine
but these long gouges sure ain't been showing up much of late, at least
around these here parts. $18.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/sept/chisel0901.jpg
F G Pearson Sheffield 9 Inch Cabinet Makers Try Square. Measuring 10
5/8" overall, the blade is 9 1/16" long, 2 3/8" high, this is 7 5/16"
overall in height, and this weighs 11 oz unboxed. F. G. Pearson was a
Sheffield England jointers tool maker in business from 1865 until 1900.
This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The blade has
some areas of light rust etching on both sides but nothing too deep and
it has most of the original bluing. The edges and corners are good.
The handle is beech. That has some stains and dings but nothing too
bad. This looks to be true according to the old flip test but if you
want Starrett accuracy, well buy a Starrett. Just saying. This ain't
perfect but it sure ain't bad considering that it's well over the 100
year old mark. $22.00

Acme 14 oz Cross Peen Hammer BEEP BEEP. Measuring 12 1/4" overall, the
head is 3 11/16" long, the face is 1 1/16" in diameter, the peen is
13/16" wide, and this weighs 14 3/4 oz unboxed. Acme of course is best
known as the supplier to one Wile E. Coyote. This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned. The head is good for the most part. The
face has some light dings and a few tiny chips around the edge. The
peen is good. The handle is old and could be the original one. That
has some dings and a couple of light scorch marks on the one edge but
it's solid. The head is on tight setting here but things do loosen up
in shipping. This ain't minty but it is a good working tool. $22.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/hammer0811.jpg
Early Hand Forged Denglestock PA Dutch Scythe Sharpening Anvil.
Measuring 9 1/4" long, the face is 1 1/8" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 5
1/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. Now what's a denglestock
(also spelled dengelstock and a bunch of other ways as well), you ask?
Well them old PA Dutch (German) farmers, being of a thrifty (also know
as cheap) bunch, instead of grinding down their scythe blades, would
stick the denglestock into a stump or the top of a fence post and using
a cross peen hammer (called the dengle of all things) would draw out the
edge of the blade till it was sharp and then dress it with a stone.
Pretty neat eh? This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is
the usual patina found on items of this age. This does have a steel
face set into the wrought iron body. The face has some light pitting
and dings but nothing too bad. There is a line running down the one
side of the body but that was just never smoothed out when this was made
(and it ain't cracked either). The spike is a little dull but that can
be fixed easily enough. This ain't minty but it sure ain't bad
considering all the work that it's seen over the decades. $24.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/denglestock0802.jpg
Small Hand Forged Slate Splitting Chisel. Measuring 5 7/8" long, the
edge is 1 7/16 across, and this weighs 4 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as
to the maker. This is in reasonably good condition for the age and use
and was cleaned. The blade has some light pin-point pitting, some
scuffs, and what have you. I did redo the edge because of some dings,
that ain't perfect but it's better than it was. The striking end is
good with no cracks. I sure ain't been seeing too many of these small
ones around and this is the tool to have when you are out backpack
fossil hunting. $17.00

Old Oilstone Slip Sharpening Stone For Gouges & Carving Tools.
Measuring a little under 4 7/16" long, 1 3/4" high, 3/16" wide across
the narrrow end, 7/16" across the wider end. and this weighs 4 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in used condition and was
cleaned. There ain't much in the way of patina to fuss about. There is
a small chip on the one side at the wide edge and a worn spot down by
the thinner edge on the other side. The wider edge has some light wear,
the smaller one is good. This ain't pristine but it will get the job
done. $15.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/sharpeningstone0802.jpg
Vintage 6 Oz Ball Peen Hammer. Measuring 10 1/2" overall, the head is 2
9/16" long, the face is 13/16" in diameter, the peen is 5/8" in
diameter, and this weighs 6 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The head has some light
patina. The face has some frosting and a few chips around the edge.
The peen is good other than the tiny dimple in the center. The handle
is old and could well be the original one. That has some chipping and
dings under the eye, the usual stains, and some dings at the end. That
feels solid enough but I wouldn't recommend trying to drive 16 penny
framing nails with this guy. Just saying. This ain't pretty or perfect
but it does have some age to it. $17.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/hammer0808.jpg
Stanley SW No 72 Double Arm Mortising Marking Gage. This weighs 4 1/4
oz unboxed. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. It definitely
was used. There is some overall patina. The beams have some dings from
the screws and are slightly warped. Not enough to interfere with this
being used but worth mentioning. Both screws are good. The tips still
have some metal left although they could stand a quick touchup. This
ain't minty but it will get the job done. $17.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/mortisegage0801.jpg
Sargent & Co 6 Inch Wing Compass Or Divider. Measuring 6 3/16" long and
this weighs 3 1/2 oz unboxed. This is in good condition and was not
cleaned, at least by me. There is some frosting but nothing too bad
patina wise. This has steel tips on iron legs and you can see the color
change. The tips are good as is the joint. The locking screw and fine
adjustment nut both work. This ain't perfect but it sure ain't bad. $18.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/divider0805.jpg
Two L S Starrett Machinist No 154 Adjustable Parallels. There is a No.
154-A, a No. 154-B, the box is from the B, and this all weighs 2 1/4 oz
unboxed. These are in decent condition and were cleaned. The A has
some frosting on the back and edges but nothing that would interfere
with this being used. The B is clean other than a few small and light
spots. Both of them had been oiled previously and that was kind of
sticky, so they were oiled again. The locking screws work. The box has
the usual wear. These ain't minty but they will get the job done. $24.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/machinist0807.jpg
Vintage Wood Handle Turnscrew Or Screwdriver. Measuring 5 9/16" long,
the tip is 5/16" wide, and this weighs 1 oz unboxed. Not signed as to
the maker. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The
blade has some small spots of pitting and staining but it's clean for
the most part. The tip was dressed at some point but it's not too bad.
The handle is oak. That is good other than some stains and a little
funky down in the turnings that refused to come off. I gotta say that
this is a neat looking one of these guys. $18.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/turnscrew0802.jpg
Two Small Brass Trammel Points. The bodies are 1 7/16" high (excluding
the screw, the beam opening is 1/2" high, 5/16" wide, the points are
15/16" and 13/16", and they weigh 1 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to
the maker. These are in reasonably good condition and were cleaned.
The bodies have some light wear but nothing too bad. There are no
cracks that I can see. The screws have a few dings on the threads but
they travel the full distance and remove. The one steel tip is shorter
as mentioned. They both are good otherwise but do not remove. These
small ones do not show up every day. $35.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/trammelpoints0801.jpg
Stanley Handyman No 432 Saw Set Or Sawset. This weighs 11 oz unboxed.
The tool is in very good condition and was not cleaned. It looks like
it was used once or twice and then put away. The finish is perfect
other than a few dings up under the head where the saw teeth hit it.
There is a little rust on the spring. The plunger and anvil are minty.
The box does have some wear and the one corner is ripped on the lid.
This even has the paper with it. This is what it is, but these guys
rarely show up in this kind of shape. $20.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/sawset0801.jpg
Keen Kutter 3 1/2 Lb Forged Double Bit Axe Head. Measuring 9 5/16" long
(across the center), the edges are 4 5/8" and 4 9/16" high (straight
across), and this weighs 3 lbs 8 1/2 oz unboxed. There is a stamped
mark below the logo that looks like an H. This is in decent condition
and was cleaned. This has steel bits on a iron body. The steel bits
are good for the most part, there is some frosting and spots of light
patina. The one edge has a chip out of it and both of them would need a
sharpening but there is lots of steel left. The iron body has some
light pitting. The eye has some crusty inside but it's good to go,
considering how long it took to the remnant of the handle out of the
eye. This ain't minty but these guys rarely are, and I would dare say
that a minty one would fetch a whole lot more than what I'm asking for
this guy. $35.00
http://oldetoolshop.com/forsale/aug/axe0801.jpg
GM Co NY Small Solid Handle Cross Peen Hammer. Measuring 8" overall,
the head is 3 1/16" long, the face is 3/8" in diameter, the peen is 3/8"
wide, and this weighs 3 1/2 oz unboxed. Marked as shown. This is in
reasonably good condition and was not cleaned. There is a little
staining on the head but nothing worth kicking the cat over. The face
is good. The peen has a little roughness. The handle is good. This
ain't fancy but it is a neat little hammer. $18.00

Stanley No 42W Saw Set Or Sawset. This weighs 14 oz unboxed. This is
in used but good condition and was not cleaned. This is black japanned
so it was made prior to the "blue" period which started in 1961. The
finish is good other than a few small dings and a little funky that
looks like oil residue. The decal is worn. The plunger and anvil are
good. All the screws work just like they are supposed to work. This
ain't no Stanley 42X and don't buy it, thinking that it is, but it is a
good working tool. $24.00

Early Bowl Carving Gouge Hand Forged From A File. Measuring 12 1/8"
long, the blade is a little under 1 1/8" wide across the edge, and this
weighs 5 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in decent
condition for the age and was cleaned. There are some spots of light
pitting on the back of the blade but nothing too bad. The edge will
need a touch up in the sharpening department. The handle has some dings
and stains but it's solid and the blade is in tight. This is a pushing
and not a pounding tool. This ain't pretty or perfect but these guys
sure don't show up very often. $22.00

Vintage Snell No 4 Screw Starter Brace Bit. Measuring 5 5/8" long and
this weighs 1 1/4 oz unboxed. This is in reasonably good condition and
was cleaned. There ain't much in the way of patina to fuss about other
than a little up in the groove. The bit edge is good. The countersink
edge will need a quick sharpening. There is a little chipping on the
end of the tang but there is plenty there to grab with the brace chuck.
I gotta say that these guys are sure getting few and far between in this
kind of shape. $14.00

Starrett S060 Carpenters 6 Ft Zig Zag Rule. This weighs 5 1/2 oz
unboxed. This is in good condition and was not cleaned. It does not
look like it was used much if at all. The finish is good on both sides.
There is some green funky on the tops of the one hinge on both sides
but the rest are clean. This ain't 100% minty but it's pretty darn
close. $24.00

Early European Ships Lap Rabbet Molding Plane. Measuring 10 1/8" long,
the cut is 7/16", and this weighs 10 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the
maker on the body, the iron is signed. This is in reasonable condition
for the age and use and was cleaned. Note: This is straight, any
bending you see is from camera lens distortion. The body has some
stains and dings. There is some chipping on the top of the toe and a
few long dead holes of worm on the top. There are decorative score
marks and layout lines as well. The second depth stop is applied
(glued) but it was made from the same wood as the body and is original.
The sole has some tiny bits of paint down in the grain that didn't want
to come off without a fight. The mouth isn't super tight but it's not
too bad. The wedge is good and looks to be original. The iron is clean
on the cutting face and I did take a little bit of sharp mushrooming off
of the end of the tang. The iron will need a sharpening. This style of
plane does not show up very often, either from domestic or the overseas
makers. $25.00

Hydra-Core DG-6 Depth Gage Or Gauge. This weighs 1 1/2 oz unboxed.
This is one of the older models which has a General No. 311 standard and
metric rule. This is in good condition and was not cleaned. It really
does not look like it was used much at all. There is a little staining
on the rule and rod but nothing too bad. The box is good. This is a
neat tool to say the least. $18.00

Vintage Steel & Brass Jeweler Watchmaker Thickness Gage Or Gauge.
Measuring 5 7/8" long and this weighs 1 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as
to the maker, there are user initials marked on the outer end of the
brass scale. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The
steel arms have some frosting and stains but nothing too bad. The tips
are good and the joint and spring work well. I did put a little oil
down in the joint. The brass scale is good and all the rulings
readable. This is neat tool to say the least. $20.00

Brown & Sharpe No 754-F 3 1/2 Inch Machinist Bar Clamp. This weighs 1
lb 7 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in decent condition overall and was
cleaned, but not by me. There is a section of light patina on the one
jaw, the rest is okay. The jaw tips have some scuff marks on the ends
and sides but the insides are fairly good. There is a scuff of sorts on
the back where it looks like someone powerwashed off a user mark. Both
screws are good and travel the full distance. This ain't pristine but
it will get the job done. $20.00

Two Union Tool Co 7 Inch Machinist Tools. There is a divider, 7 1/4"
from the top of the spring to the tips, an inside caliper measuring 7
3/16" long, and they weigh 6 1/2 oz unboxed. These are in used but good
condition and were not cleaned. There really ain't much in the way of
patina to fuss about. The tips are good and the screws work. Outside
of finding them new in the box, they don't get much better than this.

L S Starrett No 79 11 Inch Machinist Outside Caliper. Measuring 11
5/16" long and this weighs 6 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned. There is some light patina, mostly frosting,
but there are a few spots and dots. The screw has a very slight bend
but the nut travels the full distance. The legs close up tight. This
ain't pristine but these big guys sure don't show up very often. $25.00

ATHA Hand Forged Blacksmith 3/16 Inch Top Swage. Measuring 12 1/8"
overall, the head is 4 1/2" long, the groove is 3/16" across the inside,
about 5/16" across the outside, and this weighs 1 lb 8 1/4 oz unboxed.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The head has the usual
patina. Somebody cleaned the mushrooming off of two of the faces before
it got here, the other two still have some. The face has some dings but
nothing too bad. The groove has some light dings along the edges. The
handle is old. That has some dinging under the eye and the usual
stains. I knocked the wedge in and the head is on tight setting here
but things do loosen up in shipping. These guys sure ain't getting any
easier to find, at least around there here parts. $25.00

Vintage Bell System Style Pointed Peen Hammer. Measuring 9" overall,
the head is 3 9/16" long, the face is 7/8" high, 13/16" wide, the peen
is 5/16" in diameter, and this weighs 1 lb 6 1/4 oz unboxed. Not signed
as to the maker. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The head
has some light patina and dings on the sides. The face is good. The
peen does have a small chip of of the edge. The handle has some dings
and wear. There is a slice off of the end and a check at the end as
well. The head is on tight setting here but things do loosen up in
shipping. This ain't pretty or perfect but it will get the job done.

Original Small Bag Black Powder Horn Or Powderhorn. Measuring 6 7/8"
long (straight across), the plug end is 2 5/16" by 1 7/8", and this
weighs 3 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in as
found condition and was not cleaned. The horn is good for the most part
other than a thin check along the curve down by the spout. There are a
few dings as well but no worm damage. The spout plug is missing. The
end plug is pine. A couple of brads may have been replaced and the ring
also looks to have been replaced at some point. There is some air
leakage around the end plug but there are ways to deal with that. I
gotta say that these guys sure have been hard to find, at least around
these here parts. $25.00
