Hello fellow Galooteratti,
its been a long while since i have posted here, but have still been lurking,
sorry about that. life has just been too busy of late and now I find myself
with a little more time in the evenings to pursue some hobbies (of which i have
too many).
SO I hope this finds you all well.
I have been cataloging my collection of spiral screwdrivers and reciprocating
drills (very gallootish I am sure), and I am on my last drill and am having
trouble dating it. picture link below. the only clue is the Aug 8 1877 patent on
the chuck, which is quite generic IIRC. Have looked through my MF catalogs, Old
Tool Haven etc but can't seem to pin point a date. There are a couple of
similar looking tools from Goodell Pratt on OTH, but still too different from
this one to date with any confidence.
So again i find my self seeking the collected wisdom of the Porch.

Thank you.
