Hi, Don,
I think I gave a reply in a general posting, but I'm not quite sure.
Kirk Eppler took video of my demonstration, and Greg Isola has been editing it
for distribution. Greg hasn't done this before, and he is getting the help of a
friend-or-relation, so it is taking a while. I saw a draft a while back, so it
may be near end of process now. Especially f Greg gets a bit of a jog (I'll copy
this to him.) But we all know about Galoot projects, aand wth my record of
dilatoriness I have no write to be upset about the time it takes anyone to
complete.
Tom

Is there a video of your demonstration?

Hi Tom, and everyone:

Thanks for the swift kick in seat. Seriously, it is what was needed. I am
well past attempting to salvage my good name here, so I will just confirm
that the latest version of the video will be posting this week to you for a
(I hope) final review, and to Kirk for eventual hosting (if all is ok with
the files).

In true galoot fashion, this project has been a journey-- and we have
certainly learned a few things along the way (alas, not very
OldTools-oriented!).

Very good. I'll look forward to it, and if I say it is with gritted teeth it is
because I have always detested it when I have seen myself on video or heard my
recorded voice. But I think I'm not the only person with this unfortunate
affliction.
Thanks, Greg.

Tom -

You're in good company. I've heard Pavarotti didn't like to listen to recordings
of his voice.

O Galoots:

I must apologize profusely for sending the whole of the last digest around
again. I hit the "send" button too hastily, before completing proofreading. Pass
the soitoon over: iit gets a good cleaning this time.

It's a common phenomenon. We hear our own voices through the bones of
our skulls. A recorder only hears what comes out of the mouth and passes
through the air.
