260159 Elf Wrangler <elfwrangler@g...> 2016‑10‑13 Galootaclaus 2016 Anyone?
Well folks, it’s that time of year again. Kinda hard to believe, given all the
warm weather we’ve been having. The trees here in the lower Hudson Valley barely
have a brush of autumn color in them yet, though I’m told the mountains well
north of here are reaching their peak color.

I reopened the galootaclaus web site signup form last night for those of you who
are inclined to participate again this year and as customary will leave it open
until the stroke of midnight on Halloween (EST). You will receive notice of your
matches a few days afterward. By quirk of the calendar this year, all major gift
opening dates occur pretty much simultaneously, at the end of December.

I have been following along with the list discussions and observe that there are
a number of relatively new people chiming in so I would like to issue a special
invitation to them to read up on Galootaclaus. It is a fine and honorable
tradition, and a lot of fun for you and your family members as well.

Sincerely,

Elf Wrangler

Oh yes, I am in!! Always! The opening of my Galootaclaus gift
is the highlight of Xmas Eve in our family. My son takes especial
delight in wrapping the mystery package in 57 layers of tape, glue,
and paper. I really have trouble with the epoxy resin sometimes.
I'm allowed only my teeth and claws for this endeavour, and The
Boy is disappointed when I get into the box in under 30 minutes.
Despite the extra effort I have to expend, it is always well worth
the trouble.

Now, I need to check to see what kind of interesting stuff I have
to send out this year...

Love Galootaclaus! the cyber stalking, the gathering of galootish items of
interest, the December fleamarket run with the FleaBAG, the deception and
subterfuge when one of the fleaBAG's gets another as a giftee.

One of my favorite parts of the holidays. I'm in.

I haven't participated for years, but enjoyed it in the past and just came
across something special (I already have one for me!) that would be good to
share with a kindred spirit, and this reminder was well timed. Plus it's
another excuse to go tool hunting! These days this can be done in my
basement, garage, etc. as well as the more traditional locations....
