Short and sweet. Some new additions to the machinist tools list and the
rest are all fresh finds. Get 'em while they are hot.

I'd really prefer a check for payment for all items. On items less than
$25 (not including shipping) no PayPal. On combined purchases totaling
over $25 then PayPal is okay. This is for the USA buyers only. The out
of country folks, PayPal will be accepted for all purchase, unless you
want to send me a US denominated money order, then that is fine. Sorry
for the inconvenience but I'm just trying to cut the costs down a bit here.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Oldtools terms, except on items and orders over $100, if I don't know ya
or haven't done business in the past (and my records good way back..)
then it's pre-pay. I do take PayPal (except as noted). Prices do not
include shipping. All items are shipped with Delivery Confirmation.
Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item is optional.
Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via First
Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping cover
the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

are some user initials scratch marked on the front. The screws and tabs
are good. This ain't pristine but it sure ain't bad either. $24.00

Union Orange Mass 12 Inch Machinist Combination Square. This weighs 12
1/2 oz unboxed. This is in decent condition, was cleaned, and the head
was repainted. The Tempered No. 4 rule has some frosting and a few
light and small spots of pitting on the front. There is more on the
back or slot side, but all the rulings are readable and the edges and
corners are good. The head has user initials scratched into the one
side. The machined faces have some frosting and light dings. The green
level vial is good as are the locking screw and nut. The scribe is MIA.
This ain't perfect but for the money, it will get the job done. $22.00

Big Old Machinist Surface Gage Gauge or Indicator. The base is 3 3/8"
long, 2 7/16" wide, the shaft is 9 1/2" long, and this weighs 2 lb 6 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned. There ain't much in the way of patina. The
underside of the base has some light scratches and frosting. The pins
work, the one takes a little convincing but it does move. The tips of
the pointer were dressed at some point but they could stand a touchup.
The pointer clamp and the base clamp are both good. The head of the
adjuster screw has some dinging of some sort, but that works good as
well. This ain't the fanciest but it will get the job done. $23.00

Vintage Union Tool No 300C Thickness Gauge With Box. The tool is 2 1/2"
long, 1/2" wide, and this weighs 1 oz unboxed. This is in reasonably
good condition and was not cleaned. The blades have some oil staining
but nothing serious patina wise. They are all present with no wear that
I can see. The handle is good as well. The box has some light wear and
markings but that's what boxes are for. I sure don't see too many of
these guys around with the box. $14.00

Rest Of The Goodies

Old Small Blacksmith 9 lb 10 oz Cast Iron Bench Anvil. Measuring 8 1/2"
long, the face is roughly 2 1/4" wide, the hardie hole is 5/8" square,
this is 4 3/8" high at the back, and this weighs 9 lbs 10 1/4 oz
unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in decent condition. The
only cleaning was to dust off the face and base a little. The face has
some cut marks, dings, and wear to the edges. The horn looks like it
was dressed at some point but that is good other than some scuff marks.
The side was painted at some point in time. The casting sprue on the
one side has little bit of a void but that ain't caused no problems in
the past. The one foot on the base also wasn't cast the same as the
others, but it's not a repair. This wiggles a little when setting on my
desk here but that could be rectified with a trip to the belt sander
(which they don't allow me to play with!) This is what it is, but this
guy does have some age and experience to it. $55.00

Hand Forged Old Name Stamp or Namestamp. Measuring 2 15/16" long, the
figures are 1/4" high, and this weighs 4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to
the maker, the mark is W H. This is in decent condition and was
cleaned. Somebody removed the middle initial from this guy, should I
say powerwashed it out (not my doings, thank you!) The inside end of
the W is missing a little as well. I did tone down a little sharp
mushrooming on the striking end. There is a small check on the one
side. This is what it is but it's a lot cheaper than getting a new one
made and if your name is Wilbur Horsepucky, this could be just the item
to have. $14.00

Woodcraft Supply Worburn MA Solid Brass Pocket Angle Gage or Gauge.
Measuring 2" in diameter and this weighs 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in
used but good shape and was lightly cleaned. There are some scuffs and
light wear but nothing too bad. All the markings and notches are good.
This is what it is, but it is a neat little tool. $12.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/anglegage0901.jpg

Big Old Fulton Carpenters Nail Pulling Pliers. Measuring 9 7/16" long,
the jaws are 1 1/16" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 6 3/4 oz unboxed.
Fulton was the brand name used by Sears on their tool line before
Craftsman. This is in used but good condition and was cleaned. The
jaws are good other than some light patina on the tops and they close up
flush and tight. There are a few tiny dings but nothing too bad there.
The joint is good with no wiggle. The tack claws have some light wear
and I did run a file over a little mushrooming on the tips. This is a
handy tool, I've got several here on the workbench, that I use all the
time. $18.00

Vintage Stanley No 70 1/4 Inch Screwdriver. Measuring 7 1/2" long, the
tip is 1/4" wide, and this weighs 2 oz unboxed. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned. The blade and tip are good. There is a
little frosting on the ferrule. The handle finish has some dings and
wear. This ain't perfect but it's better than most of these that I have
been seeing of late. $15.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/screwdriver0901.jpg

Hand Forged Early 12 oz Blacksmith Cross Peen Hammer Head. Measuring 3
5/16" long, the face is roughly 15/16" square, the peen is 1 5/16" wide,
and this weighs 12 1/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is
in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall patina but
nothing too bad. The face has some dings and had some mushrooming
cleaned off at some point. I did run a file over a couple of sharp
edges there. The peen has some dings and a couple of tiny chips off of
the edge. The oval punched eye is good. This is kinda of a neat
looking one of these guys to say the least. $16.00

Stanley Rule & Level No 53 Adjustable Spoke Shave or Spokeshave. This
weighs 11 1/2 oz unboxed. This has the B casting mark was used on
Stanley planes and tools from 1901 until 1904. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned. The japanning is worn and there are a few
scuffs and spots of light patina on the arms. The sole is good. The
Rule & Level blade is clean and there is plenty to work with. That will
need a sharpening. Both screws work and were oiled. This ain't minty
but it will get the job done. $23.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/spokeshave0902.jpg

Stanley Rule & Level B Casting No 9 1/2 Adjustable Mouth Block Plane.
This weighs 1 lb 4 1/2 oz unboxed. This has the B casting mark on the
body and inside the mouth plate, 3 patent dates on the lateral lever,
single patent on the cap and mouth adjuster lever, and was made by
Stanley between 1901 and 1904. This is in decent condition, This was
cleaned and repainted by one of my flea market guys, but I did spend
some time detailing it. Note this is straight, any bending you see is
because of camera lens distortion, although why folks would think that I
would sell a bent plane is beyond me. The sides have some frosting, and
a few scratches and dings. The sole has more of the same and a few
lightly pitted spots. The mouth plate moves, a little slow but it does
travel the full distance. This was repainted as previously mentioned.
The cap is good. The blade is fairly clean other than a few spots but
somebody did extend the slot at some point. There is some steel left on
the cutting face and the blade will need a sharpening. Me, I'd get
another blade to use and keep this one for the collectible value but
that's your call. All the screws work and were oiled. This ain't
perfect but for being between 112 and 115 years old, well I have seen
worse. $35.00

Neat Old Cast Corn Husking or Shucking Peg. Measuring 5" long (straight
across), and this weighs 1 oz unboxed. There is a mark on the side,
looks like a B but I can't say for sure. This is in decent condition
and was cleaned. This was plated originally but that is pretty much a
memory. There is some light patina overall. Both of the tips are good.
This is what it is, but it is kinda neat. $14.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/cornpeg0902.jpg

Heavy Greenlee Rockford Ill 1 7/8 Inch Butt Firmer Chisel. Measuring 4
13/16" from the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 2 5/8" long,
5/16" thick, this is 9 1/4" overall, and this weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed.
This is in used but good condition and was cleaned. The back is clean
other than some spots of frosting and a few tiny dots. The sides were
never finished off real pretty like to start with, The front has a
little frosting as well. The hand is dark gree, That does have some
scuffs and dings. The blade wiggles a touch but it ain't going nowhere
fast. The striking button has some light dings. I gotta say these guys
sure don't show up much around here. $18.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/chisel0903.jpg

J Beatty 9 Inch Offset Blade Draw Knife or Drawknife. Measuring 17"
overall, the blade is 8 7/8" long, 1 3/16" wide at the center and the
one end, 1 5/16" wide at the other end, and this weighs 1 lb 3 oz
unboxed. John Beatty was one of a number of Beattys making edge tools
in and around the Philadelphia PA area during the 19th and early 20th
Centuries. The blade sits at an angle upwards from the line of the
handles. There is a name for this kind of drawknife but it escapes me
at present. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The
back of the blade is clean other than a couple of tiny dots. There are
some small chips off of the edge so that will need some work. There is
noticeable pitted spot on the front under the mark and a couple of small
ones on the sides. The handles are black walnut. They have some dings
and light checks but are on tight. I'm not all that far from where this
guy was made, and I sure ain't been seeing too many Beatty draw knives
around, especially in this kind of shape. $35.00
http://forsale.oldetoolshop.com/sept/drawknife0903.jpg

Vintage Pexto No 793 3 1/2 Inch Jaws Tinsmith Tin Bender or Bending
Pliers. Measuring 8" long and this weighs 15 1/2 oz unboxed. This is
in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some light patina
overall. The jaws are good and close tight. The joint is loose but
this ain't gonna fall apart and I just don't have the right equipment
here to tighten the rivet. This is missing the depth screws but those
are a standard thread and can be replaced. This ain't perfect but it
will get the job done. $22.00
