260035 "wmy2@f..." <wmy2@f...> 2016‑09‑18 Help with whatsit.
Recently while rust hunting I encountered two of these (they followed me home)
Cast steel, 8 1/4 inches overall with a screwdriver end about 7/16 inches wide.
Handle is swelled, business end is 1 inch wide by 1 1/4 inches long. There is an
arc in the end, centered and 3/4 inch wide with a pin-1/8 inch in diameter in
the end. Markings are a logo-a 1/4 inch circle with S over F, separated by two
v's pointing toward the center. Also A-M-F and S-8. I have googled AMF tool,
S-8, everything I could think of with no success.
I am hoping someone here can help me ID this tool.
Respectfully
Bill

I am normally too polite to complain but was getting a bit annoyed at
badly written websites today, what I see on all flickr urls

They are too lazy to provide working html for older browsers, I use an
older browser to make sure anything I publish actually works

I won't use anything but flickr. No junk, no pop-ups, no pestering
emails, just pictures - and free.
I avoid all others!

FWIW

Could be German?

Maybe poke around in here, guessing at your description, thinking pin
wrenches about pg 50-60

AMF was also a bowling machine company. Maybe check in your local bowling
alley, see if they recognize it?

Assuming you have a bowling alley within 30 miles?

Kirk Eppler, out to look for a misplaced estate sale purchase in the

AMF owned Harley Davidson from 1969 to 1981.  Could it be a motorcycle tool?
