206905 "Ray Sheley" <rsheley@r...> 2010‑08‑06 BIO: Version 2
Hello everyone. I "sort of" posted an introductory and unofficial Bio
last week, and thought that I would do so now with the official BIO in
the Subject line. Much will be a repeat for some who have read it
previously.

Mechanical Engineer by training, many years with KODAK, but the company
has been in a long descent and many of us have been shed from the ranks
over time. My time was 5 years ago, and in the years since being
downsized out of my long time career I have been doing Contract
Engineering, first a short contract stint at Bausch & Lomb, later a
longer contract stint at Johnson & Johnson. This ended late last year
and I am currently "seeking opportunity" in this tough Job environment.
During my long career I've worked with Plastic injection Molding, Tool
Engineering, Automation Design, Aerial film processor's, X-ray
machine's, Contact Lens producing equipment (B&L) and Medical Blood
Analyzers (J & J). Professionally I have had a very satisfying career,
but I do need a few more years to reach my goals for retirement, and I
am actively looking for a job.

On the Galoot side, I've managed to rebuild and remodel several houses,
build some furniture (mostly from "kits") and some repairs to garage
sale and flea market finds. I'm an experienced beginner in woodworking
and look forward to the day when I can devote more to it however at the
moment I am in a house that is undergoing reconstruction and I fully
expect that this will keep me busy for a while.I do read and enjoy all
of the different directions that folks take us on, and now that I am out
from under the porch my hope is to participate and contribute to the
discussion more.
