I've read it dozens of times and I must be slow.  I've never had to hang 
a new door from scratch (either the door or the frame have had existing 
hinges) so it might become obvious.

Hmmmm.... gotta wonder how many Google searches are gonna turn up a
message with "butt" and "scan" in the subject line!

OT Content .... hung a closet pole in the basement today (my wardrobe
has been relegated to the basement as my better half's has taken over
most of the rest of the house..).  Nothing like the whisp of nice
sharp bits in a brace to keep from waking little ones napping...
