My Dear Fellow Galoots,
I would like to introduce myself to y'all out there on the porch.  I am
a
Professional Engineer by trade, working as a "Hired Gun" designing
computers and
telecom equipment.  I stare a a HP Workstation all day long, so when the
weekends
come, its time to hit the woodshop.
I have been building furniture for about 5 years now. Making expensive
sawdust before that.  I have a two-car garage that is pretty full of
woodworking machines.  I build 
about 4 or 5 major projects a year, the last one being the display
cabinet as described
in Woodsmith #78.  
I began my converstion on this last project, doing a lot of thinking of
how I would
do it with hand tools. 
I discovered this group a couple of weeks ago. I've got more out of
reading this 
group that wreck.norm for the past years....
When not woodworking, I'm a Ham Radio Operator, talking to folks around
the world.
SWMBO is very unstanding about my hobbies.
I haven't found any sources for used tools here in the Dallas, TX area
yet, but I'm
sure that somewhere there are some around here.  If anyone has any
ideas, let me know.
