Hello all!  My name is Bill Anderson, 53 yo, and I hail from Chapel Hill,
North Carolina.  I have been collecting old tools, mostly wooden planes
(about 600 in my collection) for about 15 years.  Right now I am
interested in window making planes and if anyone has an interest in this,
please drop me a line!  For some reason, I have not been onto this site in
all these years, guess I'm not too computer savy!  I have a nice shop that
my wife was very gracious about indulging me in when we bought this place
(every man must have his cave!) and I pretty much just mess around in
there fiddling with old tools and making some furniture.  In my "real"
life I am a neurotoxicologist for the EPA.  Who knows, I may soon be my
own research subject considering how much paint solvent I was exposed to
as a child (my dad was a house painter).  My buddy, Jerome Bias (also a
galoot) and I are working on making some planes and are being quickly
chagrined at how little our modern technology can duplicate the old
techniques!  If I am not in the lab or in the shop, I am on the dance
floor or traveling to one, as I like to do contra dancing, Scandinavian
(My wife is the universally proclaimed hambo Queen of the Southern
Piedmont), and old timey squares.  Look forward to hearing from you all
