Dave,
How about one of those little thumb/block planes similar to the 5" x 1
1/4" one in the St. James Bay Tool Co. catalog or the universal spoke
shave. Either should lend it self to sand casting. Are you offering to
sell them?

Who has cast thousands of pieces of gold jewelry. and who thanks the
Lord not to be doing it for a living anymore.

Ken,

That's a great little plane! I would love to try my hand at a violin
some day so I'll probably try some violin planes. I'll just be doing
it for fun initially and to figure out how to do it well. I may cast
some extra pieces if something turns out well. I'm not planning to
be another LN but a little extra money never hurts!

I'll have to hunt down a picture of a universal spokeshave.

Keep those ideas coming.

Dave Strommen
(So many slopes, so little time!)
