Now that the auction has ended, I'm curious what these are for:

They have an awfully deep profile.  Are these for large sculpture?

 These are in fact Leather Tools, and specifically Book Binders Gouges. In
Salaman book,Dictionary of Leather Working Tools, c.1790-1950 he shows this
tool on page 5 , in his chapter on book binding tools, and has this to say
about them...." a handled "stamp" made in sets to imprint a range of arcs of
different radii....", I guess sort of like the more common pinking irons
used by saddle makers and other leather workers except of lighter
construction and with a smooth edge instead of scalloped or zig
zag.......Todd, who wonders if leather workers every confuse wood working
tools for leather tools?
