Nichael and other dull saw-owning Galoots:
Since Anatol is still on vacation (holiday, Jeff), I'll answer.
BTW, Anatol produced Tom's sharpening video and now
distributes it. In fact, I'm pretty sure he also shot the video.
If you have a copy of Jim Tolpin's "The Toolbox Book",
Tom's in it - check pg. 161. Anyway, that's where he
appears in my soft cover copy.

Tom's address is:
  Tom Law
  62 West Water Street
  Smithsburg, Maryland 21783
Phone # (301) 824-5223

As far as I know, he isn't on the net.

US Postal Service. As I said earlier, I dropped them off with him at
a PATINA auction and he mailed them back to me. They were in a
cardboard "scabbard", with a couple of thicknesses of cardboard. They
came thru just fine. If I were to send him a saw of value (monetary,
heirloom, etc.) I think I'd make a box of plyw**d and insure it. The
extra cost shouldn't be all that much, and he could return it in the same
box. I did this with a shooting board casting and, by all accounts, it
arrived at the destination just fine. When I handed Tom my saws, I
asked if I couldn't pay then. He said no bother, he'd bill me when he
sent the saws. I made sure he understood I was in no hurry. As I recall,
it took 2 or 3 weeks.

I remember it was $7 to sharpen each saw. Well, I've just spent a few
minutes going back thru old check registers and see where I sent Tom
a check the first week of November of last year for $21.45. The auction
was in October. That was for sharpening two saws, setting one, and
p,s & h (postage, shipping & handling). I guess setting a saw runs $3
or $4.
Can't beat those prices!
BTW, Tom's business card says
"Carpentry Tools - Workbenches - Emmert Vises"
I also have a good+, closer to fine, 1" Stanley 750 Everlasting chisel
I picked up off his table for $11, and it was scary sharp.
