  Galoots,

   My Blue paint #61 1/2 was only $10 <g> and I used it to fair the
Okume plywood on my Kayak. It worked perfectly and only needed
sharpening after I used it to plane the brass wires that were used to
hold the panels together before the epoxy filets inside the boat
solidified. Yes, I said I planed the ends of the wires flush with the
panel after the wires had been snipped short. Hundreds of pieces of
brass confetti on the floor of the shop. I was able to do both sides of
the boat with only one stop to sharpen the plane!
    That was .001" shavings in brass with the mouth closed down tight!
