   I have a cheapo newish Satanley block plane that I
reserve for trimming plywood edges.  I also have a
cheapo Korean dozuki that I use for plywood.

   Others far more knowledgeable than me warn of
the effects of the glue used in plywood on cutting
edges (and say the same for MDF).

   So I've adopted the "better-safe-than-sorry"
approach.
