I think there may be more give on the iron. well there is a little cushion sinc
e
the wood is softer. were a steel plane it is steel against steel. The best way
to solve this would be to take the same iron out of a steel plane and try it in
a woodies and see the difference. If someone wanted to loan me a #4 I would try
it out.

I have been wondering about this. I wonder how hard it is to push a infill
compared to a woodie and a say #4?
