If my failing memory is NOT failing at this time, Lee Valley Tools
sells an "adaptor" that fits a brace and will allow you to use the hex
shank bits in it.

Kind of like a Quick Change Bit holder, but for a brace.

B. 1/4" Hex Auger Driver

For driving large screws it is hard to beat an auger driver. Rechargeable
drills poop out quickly on anything over a #8 screw, but a brace lets you
drive a #14 without dampening your brow. Screwdrivers for braces used
to be available, but were always single style. Our driver has a 1/4" hex
socket with a rare-earth magnet in it to hold any standard power-driver
 bit - Phillips, square-drive, posi-drive, etc. Nickel-plated steel. 4"
long
 overall.

 In USA and International
  B. 50J61.05 Hex Auger Driver 4.95 US$

 In Canada
  B. 50J61.05 Hex Auger Driver 6.95 Cdn$

I have one and it does the job. Just the thing for #10 2.5" long screws
while hanging kitchen cabinets on the wall. I recommended it to a friend
whose dad in his 80's is starting to be bugged about not having the wrist
strength to use a screwdriver a lot...

Of course giving the minimum shipping you then need to figure out

what other stuff you Really Need ;-) ;-)
