Check the August '98 issue of American Woodworker, pages 42-45, for an article on making a wooden spokeshave by none other than the "Shah of Shaves" (Dave Wachnicki...he teaches shave making at Mike Dunbar's shop). The article includes the templates for shaping the handles and body and everything else you need short of a live teacher. Dave's got a newly created web site as well (but of course I don't have the URL handy...that'd be wayyyy too easy). :-) Tim S. | |||
