The holiday elf-work flurry past, I decided to turn my attention to making
some picture frames Lynntia (SWMBO) has been asking for. This was a fun
decision, because it meant I had to:

1. Sharpen the world's longest backsaw (a beautiful EC Simmons that came
with a miter "box" I recently bought from Mike Lindgren).

2. Make a shooting board (almost finished! just as soon as I figure out how
to attach the backstop at a perfect 45)

3. Restore a woodie miter plane Sandy Moss tossed into a box-lot I bought
from him last spring (It's Scary Shiny Sharp!).

Still no frames, but I'm getting there!

Here's the question: Any good suggestions for testing the accuracy of the 45
degree angle on the backstop I've yet to attatch? I know you can check the
accuracy of a 90 by flipping your square over, but how do I find a true 45?
