SAW SHARPENING KITS  - get everything in one place, the
vise, the files, and a sawset.  I have 3 available:

1.  Henry Disston #1 vise - 9" jaws with the ball joint
that swivels in all directions. Included are three used
(but not abused) triangular saw files and a "Morrill - type"
sawset.    $32 for the package

2. Henry Disston #1  vise  (identical to above pkg)  $32

3. #95 sawvise (no maker's id but looks like a
Sargent to me).  9" jaws with  ball joint. Three
files included (no sawset).  $25

Note: these guys are heavy - figure $7 or so ($10
to the West Coast) for shipping.

SAWS -

1.  Disston D8 ripsaw w/thumb hole.  5 1/2 ppi, 26" long
Readable logo. some staining on blade, repaired
small crack in handle. A nice old saw.  $30

PLANES -  (A chance to become an instant Sargent collector)

1.  Sargent 409 -  (equiv to a  Stanley #4).  This guy
needs a good cleaning and tuneup.  Looks like most
japanning is still there under the grunge. Good wood
but most of the finish is gone.    $25

2.  Sargent 410  -  (equiv to a Stanley 4 1/2).  70%
japanning remains, some pitting on the bottom which
should not affect usage.  Finish is flaking off the wood
on this one as well   $50

3.  Sargent 422 VBM - (equiv to a Stanley #7) - Has the
proper "VBM 422" marking on the blade with the VBM
lever cap. Great mahogany knob and tote, although it
looks like someone sliced off an 1/8" off the top of the
tote to provide clearance for the lateral adjuster. About
40% of japanning remains.  $ 55

4.  Sargent 414 VBM - (equiv to a Stanley #5) - Lever cap
says VBM but the cutter is a more recent Stanley replcmt.
About 80% japanning. Nice wood  $20

SPECIAL****  Take all four above Sargent planes for  $135

5.  Stanley #78 Rabbet plane.  Older model with Stanley
R&L cutter.  Probably 50% japanning remains. Some rust
but should clean up ok. Missing the depth stop and
fence. (still available from Stanley)  $20
