My immediate reaction was also you were missing the music, the other
question depends on your wife's interests and how you have organized
living together:  would there be any interest in this being a joint
shop where you both work on your hobbies together, or is this your
escape cave?  As in being a fiberholic I could see a spinning wheel
or a loom in the corner, or a sewing table also looking out one of
those windows, especially since the messy stuff is staying in the
garage.  If she has her own "shop" then the question is moot.
