Hello GG's
A very Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
My wife and I decided to swap a few of our larger gifts last night
so we wouldn't have to drag them to Denver and back.
!! I got a very clean #7!! it is a Wards master and looks to be Stanley
made ( I compared it to one of my Baileys and it looks very similar )
It has a Stanley Lever cap (mis-match)
the reason fo rthis note however... the casting is very thick and it is
also pretty inconsistant. And I thought that maybee it is one of those
War years planes when Stanley's QC was not quite so good.
here are the measurements that I took
the left side is 1/8 thick
the right side is 5/32
the sole at the heel is 1/4 thick
the sole at the toe is 5/32
Anyways were these differences par for the day or have I gotten hold of
a particularly odd example.
Aaron Ionta who can't wait to see which of the other toys I picked out
end up in my X-mass pile ! Thanks Wayne
