257893 Mike Lynd 2016‑02‑04 Mini eggbeater drills
I came across this little eggbeater drill in my local hardware shop
yesterday. The shop is adjacent London's Hatton Garden (jewellery district)
and the drill cost just £5 sterling.

That looks suspiciously like one I have somewhere. Is it plastic?

Mine has a tiny little chuck that probably won't take more than an
1/8" drill bit, but it is cute.

Yes, the red body and the 'large' black gearwheel are both made of hard
plastics.

cheers,

That's a teeny drill Mike.
My smallest are a "Leytool" and a "Sears" at just under 8" long, and my
smallest traditional spoked wheel type (no-name) would be about 10" (if
it had its cap for the handle)
