256628 William Ghio <bghio@m...> 2015‑10‑12 Mid-Atlantic Galoot get together
The Mid-Atlantic Galoots have not had a get together for what seems like a
couple of years so I thought I would propose one for Saturday, November 21. I
hope this is sufficiently far off, but enough ahead of the holiday madness, that
anyone interested can make it. Charlie Driggs is already in (actually, he is the
instigator).

Last time I hosted a meet everyone made a Chairmaker's Devil, which made for a
very busy shop, but did not allow much visiting time. So this time I propose a
less structured agenda:

Tool Swap
Share a favorite new/old tool
Bring your project issues/questions
Technique questions
Turning tutorial/make a chisel handle (I have two lathes)
Bring your recently completed project and tell us about it
What are you working on now
Ed can bring his guitars and we can do a sing along...

Once we get a feel for possible attendees we can work out the important
administrative stuff like lunch & drinks. Let me know.

Where would this event likely be held?

I'll pack some larynx lubricant. I'll be warbling like Pavarotti.

256632 Mark Pfeifer <markpfeifer@i...> 2015‑10‑12 Re: Mid-Atlantic Galoot get together
If Charlotte counts as mid Atlantic, I have 3 acres, tons of parking, and a
place to have a bonfire. My neighbors are used to this, as it's a regular thing.

I also have TONS of green oak to be split.....in terms of pain and tedium, only
a sing along could compete with it......
