I was quite surprised by how much woodworking stuff there is on Pinterest.
I have found Ron Harper and Gary Roberts. Anyone else?

There is a website with a new level of annoying. Can't drill down to any
level of detail without an account. "Find a nice plane that Harper pinned?
Click to see what it is. Must login."

!@#$ that. On my blocked list

My visit to Pinterest also was a bummer. I will not visit there again.

Yep. Found some cool old tools stuff there, though I can't say that I've
seen anything from other porch denizens yet. Also some nice antique sewing
machines. Mostly, though, I use it for recipe discovery and storage.

Pinterest...They are crooks. It is a business plan that starts with ... Steal
someone's copyright images, and go from there.
They harvest my website for images, steel them, and store them on their sever.
If I object to that, I must do a complaint for every copyright infringement.
I'm seriously re-thinking my whole web presence. That's because what I own seems
to be considered by some as free to use however they want.
Good folk ask, and I respect that.
Crooks take what isn't theirs, and use it for their own profit.
It used to be just websites with .ru after their name, now it's mainstream theft
and it seems that that is just how the inter web is.
I know plenty of people who think that if something isn't locked up or bolted
down it must be ok with the owner for them to just pick it up and take it. Quite
a common life philosophy.
Isn't mine though.

253775 Gary Roberts <toolemera@m...> 2015‑03‑02 Re: Any Pinterest users here?
Not too long ago I started tossing some stuff up on Pinterest, and added a Pin
It button too.

Sure, it’s mostly breaking copyright but the truth of the internet is that it’s
nearly impossible to control copyright. Amazon walks all over my books, ABE does
what it will and Pinterest is a free for all.

I don’t lose any sleep over it.
