Galoots,

A couple of weeks ago, I saw this at a local auction. Came close to
passing it by, but I figured that I hadn't done anything particularly
stupid in a while, so what the heck. Luckily, nobody else had much of an
interest.

I'm curious to see if it actually works as a coping saw.

It has(d) lots of issues. Incorrect table. Incorrect blade holders. No
belt. No tool rest for the lathe. Broken clamp on the tail stock.

I'm mostly finished with the first part of the restore. That's the part
where you replace the incorrect pieces, and see if will really work.

Fabricated a table and blade holders for the coping saw. They are as close
to the originals as I can get without casting the parts. Lots of work with
a hack saw and files.

Here's a lousy picture of the business end of the coping saw. I'll have to
send a better picture later.

Still need to get a treadle sewing machine belt, and run screws through the
blade holders, and then we'll know if it's worth putting any more time into.
