BTW....I (hope) this is a link to the japanese waterstones......The Garage sale gloat from last wkend https://plus.google.co m/photos/yourphotos?hl=EN Please let me know if the link works or not. New to googleplus.... Eric, You were on the right track but I had run afoul of my own ignorance in posting photos to Google+. I had not posted the photos to Public. Several Galoots tried to explain my error but I only seem to learn through experimentation. Your link opens into the main group of 2296 photos on my Google page for David Nighswander. (Good Lord I take a lot of pictures) Unfortunately the water stone pictures are off down another rabbit hole that I created called Old Sneelock’s Workshop. This is a link to that particular album. I did manage to change the posting to Public this morning so perhaps more than just a select few can see them. https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/102890294211068894965/photos/yourphotos This should send you directly to a photo of the 6000 grit stone. https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/102890294211068894965/photos/yourphotos?p id=6050655127379674914&oid=102890294211068894965">https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/ 102890294211068894965/photos/yourphotos?pid=6050655127379674914&oid=102890294211 068894965 If that doesn't work for you, in desperation I posted a slide show on Youtube with the tools from the barn sale in it. http://youtu.be/LdIqR8mTW5w I also managed to flatten the stones using a sandstone block. (That started a whole new questioning session of, “Why sandstone?” The answer being, “Because I had one.”) This is a link to that video. http://youtu.be/gm9yYYW8GgA If these don’t get you to a place where you can see the pictures I apologize for leading you astray. Pride is a sin and my glee at finding these Garnets strewn along the slope led to this unfortunate exercise in confusion. The moral of this story is I did learn something new about Google+ so all is not in vain. At least until the next upgrade. Dave N. aka Old Sneelock |

David - I know you are trying desperately to get these posted and publicly viewable, and I commend you for the effort. So just as a data point, those two links sent me to a Google+ page insisting that I create a public profile. Not something I want to deal with. I did get to and watch one of your youtube videos. --Sott On Aug 28, 2014, at 12:01 AM, David Nighswander |

Snip From: Scott Stager David - I know you are trying desperately to get these posted and publicly viewable, and I commend you for the effort. So just as a data point, those two links sent me to a Google+ page insisting that I create a public profile. Not something I want to deal with. I did get to and watch one of your youtube videos. Unsnip After much searching I’ve found that any Google+ images are only visible to Google+ users. In other words if you aren’t signed in you can’t see them. Rather a useless method of sharing pictures isn’t it. If I post them to my blog in Blogger anyone can see the photos but can’t comment on them unless they sign in. Not really a big deal except I dislike it when people use that as an excuse to get traffic to their blog. Some of the member of the list have really nice blogs that I enjoy and others end up being spam factories. I’m sorry you can’t see the pictures on Google+ At least the YouTube workaround was successful. Thanks for letting me know Scott. |

Here are some pictures of the feed mechanism on a 1003 that I recently acquired. I think it is generally the same as a 1005 but smaller and only single speed. http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5370.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5371.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5372.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5373.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5374.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5375.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5376.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5377.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5378.jpg http://www.edoii. com/auction/yankee1003/dscn5379.jpg I think it is complete as it appears to advance as expected. There are 3 advertisements that show and describe the mechanism at: http://v intagemachinery.org/mfgIndex/detail.aspx?id=596&tab=6 Ed O' -----Original Message----- Subject: [OldTools] Yankee 1005 feed mechanism photo needed.....
