GG,

Today after a very frustrating day at the office I came home and went to
the shop.  Recently I salvaged a broken maul handle from my neighbors
trash, and took a hewing hatchet to it, then a saw, drawknife, and
spokeshave.  Here is the finished product:

I verily cringe at the number of shovel, maul and hoe handles I've tossed
over the years....
