That's great! I haven't hear "the persuader" in years. My father refers
to all hammers as "persuaders." From time to time I've also heard him
call a 2 lb sledge a "re-calibrator." Growing up, we always were worried
when he told one of us that we needed "re-calibration."

One of my favorites is nothing special: an old ball peen hammer that has
some serious dings in it, has had a new handle fitted onto it and is at
the very least the third handle it's seen, and has been restored from a
complete ball of rust to the state where "it ought to do" a few times in
my life. It's currently in my dad's possession but it's among the top 3
things I want to inherit.
