23406 John Gunterman <gunterman@c...> Aug-05-1997 Superior Works Marking knife.

I stayed up "way too late" last night playing w/ my new marking knife.
I love it.

An interristing phenomenon has been occuring today though wich I though I'd
share....

I have this little "shrine" atop my big monitor in my cube.
The "exhibit" is constantly rotating.... today I happen to have a Lufkin No
771, 4 fold , 2 foot rule, a serioulsy mangled #2 (the infamous #2 Scrub) My
IT coffee mug, a #100-1/2, and my new marking knife.
<I'm sure most of you have the same thing in your work enviroment, eh?>

Anyhoo the usual group of woodbutchers have swung by to see the daily
displayand oddly enough every one of them has picked up the knife and said
something along the lines of: "Wow this is in incredible condition! What a
great tool, Where did you get it, How old is it? Was it sitting in a vault
for the past 150 Years?"

I love to see thier jaw drop when I tell them It was made _last_week_.

(I still am not gonna sell any of my Hock Shiv's though;-)

John
