Here I was thinking I'd really do a job and clean the frame and get the 
handle back to wood color and then you show me what you did.....

I'll never rest until I do one similar.  It's gorgeous--what a lovely 
explosion of shape on that handle.

  I feel these tools are great tools when used to the their best effect.
Worthy of refinement.
  I used ipe since I had plenty. Not as beautiful as some woods, but 
very hard and strong.

   I took the pic the day I carved the tote, but of course it has its 
screws set now. Carving a tote in one day is about enough work for a 
lazy old man.
  Second day is good enough to set the screws. heh
