This isn't exactly old tools, but there are enough guitar enthusiasts on
the list that I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. I have
an Asturias John Mills Model JM20S classical guitar. It is a truly sweet
sounding guitar, about 20 years old in beautiful condition (I bought it
new). However, the plastic string rollers on the tuning machines have
gotten cracked and I either need to replace the plastic pieces or the
entire tuning machine mechanism. However, these tuning machines appear to
be a bit unusual. All of the ones that I have been able to find online
have a spacing of 1 3/8" between string rollers. This guitar has a spacing
closer to 1 1/2". Thus far, I have not been able to find a source that
sells either the string rollers themselves (3/8" diameter) or tuners with
this particular spacing. If anyone can point in the direction of a
supplier that might be able to assist, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Doc
