John asks about the marginal utility of cotonwood lumber..... No personal experience but SWMBO's cousin runs a mill in Nebraska and claims they're only good for pallets. He also related that the quckest way to get water out of them (they apparenlty have a lot) is to stand them on end - gravity drains a goodly portion very quickly.
