sized have great mass, and work wonderfully for hogging off material, or
slicing thru knots.  The woodies require more fettling to get right, but
feel great in my hands,  and on the wood.  It is easy to fix a fouled up
sole, but at the cost of a gaping mouth.  I have resoled and patched
mouths, so it's not terribly hard.  There are lots of cool woodies out
there, I like handles on mine, especially razees, even the smoothers.
 Transitionals aren't bad either.
