Good Galoots:I checked out a yard sale today-As I was walking in I met a
gentleman leaving who was carrying a backsaw. We got into a discussion, and I
had a chance to get a closer look. Masking tape sticker marked $1.00. Well
patinated but not pitted with rust. Not much finish on the closed handle. From a
distance, could be taken for a 14 inch Disston. Marked with a British maker
which I can't remember, Sheffield, Cast Steel. I read it to the new owner who
claimed not to be able to. Given the choice, I'd rather have my eyesight-even
corrected with trifocals- than the saw.
