All LV now carries some new old style oilers. Just like the ones you lust after at garage sales, but without the gunk of unknown generations caked on the bottom. http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=69581&cat=51&ap They now have tongue cutting and wider blades for their plow plane http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=69613&cat=51&ap -- Kirk Eppler in Half Moon Bay, CA ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amazing, I didn't know I needed them until I saw them. Wait, wasn't that the topic of discussion here recently??? Anyone know where to get a quart of 3-in-1 oil at a good price? Best of the best, rock on. I have too many of their veterans to go after new ones, but I can tell you one thing for sure, my life would be miserable without!! One of their pumps in on my hand most every day of my life. I just hope the new ones are similar to the old. Any auto parts has 10wt non detergent. If you ask. 3-in-1 is about 4- 5wt but you don't really want oil that thin, too often. 10wt is more universal. I use it for everything. yours Scott -- ******************************* Scott Grandstaff Box 409 Happy Camp, Ca 96039 scottg@s... http://www.snowcrest.net/kitty/sgrandstaff/ http://www.snowcrest.net/kitty/hpages/index.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheap=2C too.
Real DTE can be obtained in gallons from local machine shop
supply houses.
(This avoids the 5-gal pail minimum at local lubricant dealers.)
Let's see=2C three oilers minimum:
1) DTE Heavy Medium
2) WD-40=2C purchased in gal.
3) Kroil=2C ditto

Best of the best, rock on. ----------------------- Having seen the picture, with the cans aglow in their perfect colour, how is a man ever going to dare bring these flashy good looking newbies into his shop in full view of his trusty old favourites of the same shape and style but mottled, long ago lost colour. And which still soldier on daily! How? And if you did, or I did, I'd have this awful dilemma. Which to reach for. Ignore the old in favour of the new? But the old ones still work perfectly, dang. Ah, got it. I'll stick 'em up in the back shed where the machinery is kept. Yep, gotta have 'em. Just wait a bit while the AU$ bounces back.
