All, In addition to Tom's eloquent description, I attended, and grabbed a
few goodies, (but not a Grinder, that went to Bill). Here is my fumbling
attempt to describe

Picks of the whole haul here

Long fumbling description:

The day was nice, not quite the perfect date of April 25th, but close
enough. A light sweatshirt held off the early morning chill. I managed to
hold off making any purchases for over an hour, than grabbed a 12 1/2
(wooden soled scraper plane Geoff), well worn, down to the metal, the
outline of the screws can be seen as well. Followed up a few minutes
later by buying a Stanley 100 (squirrel tailed model plane Geoff). Not
gloatable on either piece, but prices I was happy with. Later, grabbed a
nice heavy scissors from George Platt and sons of Sheffield, and a little
German leather cutting tool for $5.

But what was gloatable was the weather. Never got too hot, sunny enough
that the breeze picked up at the right time. Those that made parking lot
runs to drop stuff off reported HUGE lines of people waiting to buy tickets
and to get in, so we were happy about that. Oh, and the company was
gloatable too. A good time BSing, swapping tales, watching the dynamics of
purchasing, listening to Tom squeeze the guy down to a $2.12 purchase.....
Tom educating our group on certain tools, people entertaining with project
progress.

It was a nice day at the flea, with lots of tools out for sale, 3-4 boxes
of moulding planes, lots of other good tools (at real prices), and other
fun stuff as well. Passed on a box lot at $250 that was well worth it,
boxes of #45 hollows and rounds pieces, blades, jointer fence, the guy
didn't want to split it, but we didn't want to pool $$ to buy and split up.

Back to work
