There are plenty of ALMOST gloats, but I have one that involves a
fellow galoot.

If you recall, Bill Ghio recently posted about Disston #9, 3/4 backsaw
that landed in his lap. A man he knew found it in a box in an antique
shop and just knew Bill would like it.

This evening at a social event I was in a conversation with this man and
he said "I was going to call you next, but it was a question of which
one of you answered the phone".

Needless to say, I bought him a double scotch for the promise of my
being first next time.

Ed,

I'm sure it was just an alphabetical artifact Ed. You know, "G" comes before "M"
 in the contacts list. OTOH, since the alphabet is pretty much immutable I will 
remain optimistic for the future, despite your machinations and blatant bribery.
