While not entirely an academic body of Work, the BBC had a series (3) of
programs entitled "Connections" hosted by the inimitable James Burke. He
also wrote a book on the "Connections" theme. I think that the
"Connections2" series was the best. The "Connections" series spawned
"Richard Hammonds' Engineering Connections" last program rundates in 2011.
That may be of some interest. The RHEC is available to National Geographic
subscribers.
