 Just a couple of notes; it was cheap, the iron is tapered. It has "No" mouth
opening. I polished the rust off the back of the blade on 600 grit, Gave the
edge a quick hone on 250 then 600 just to get a clean edge. Put it back together
and it cuts shavings that pass thru it's non-equisitant mouth, on red oak
anyway. The butt isn't comfortable in use, so I'm more convinced it's not
original. Both fills are crudely fitted (but then I don't know I'd do much
better) so they were probably done by a user...
