I also just set up a [free] profile over on http://lumberjocks.com and 
was pleasantly surprised by the very warm welcome I received from all 
the woodworkers over there (reminded me very much of The Porch). You can 
post a profile, pics of your workshop and projects, and even post blog 
entries. Seems pretty active. So if you want to have a web presence 
without being a "blogger", then this seems like a good place to go.
