Not sure where ya'll are but at my sisters in South Florida garage 
screen doors are very common. I did a few double takes during a visit 
there. Screen doors on the garage to keep the bugs and critters out and 
fences around the pools to keep the gators out.

Me too!

I'm intending to build an "inner garage door" -- basically, a garage
door -sized screen door, so the breeze can come through, but the
mozzies can't...
