As Wiktor mentioned about a week ago, he has entrusted me with the
stewardship of the Storage Bin section of the OldToolsShop. With your
help, I hope to add to the current selection of manuals, books, plans,
tool reviews, etc. I welcome all submissions and comments from the porch
– since it is OUR resource and should serve our needs. I do have a few
ideas regarding subtle changes that I will be working through over the
coming weeks.

More immediately -- I just posted a new old-book in the Storage Bin
section of the OldToolsShop. This selection, gleaned from the Google
Book collection, is the 1906 vintage, Wood Pattern Making, by Horace
Traiton Purfield. This 216-page book on the patternmakers art comes
complete with a discussion of tools-of-the-trade as well as a section on
how to read working drawings. You can find the book in PDF format here:
