148155 "John Edwards" <johnedwards123@c...> 2005‑07‑31 Stanley 444 Spur Blocks
Fellow Galoots,
In the quest to find a 444 (dovetail plane, Jeff) I have come across one
that is missing the spur blocks.

Anyone have any clue as to where one may be able to purchase these missing
spur blocks ?

A fellow Galoot whom pinged me offline. Suggested that there may be a
different Stanley plane in which the spur blocks could be used ??

Thanks
John Edwards

Ooops, I realize now that you wanted the *blocks*. Not the *spurs*.
Patrick's B&G talks about other plane's spurs: (quote) length to them,
however, if you find yourself in need of one, you can snarf them from
the #289 or #10 1/4, both of which aren't low-cost planes. Many of the
planes are missing cutters and one of the spur blocks. (/quote)

MJD had some spur blocks for sale a while ago but AFAIK no other plane
can be pushed into action for these. Sorry.
