GG's
I've gotten all the new bios into the bio database. A couple points to
make:
* I haven't yet "removed" the links older bios, for those of you
posting an update. Next week I'll find all the duplicate names
and take out the old bios. Feel free to let me know if you notice
you're in there twice, and let me know which one to eliminate
(tell me the message_id number in the upper left of the bio).
* Those of you new to OldTools, please look at your newly submitted
bio. First, make sure I saw your bio and stuck it in there.
Again, if it's not in the list, let me know, and either tell me
approximately when you submitted it, or better yet, the message_id
if you can find it in the archive.
* Second, make sure your bio is formatted properly. The most common
mistake people make is not wrapping your text at 72 columns.
Messages that haven't been wrapped will be forceably wrapped by
your mail program, and you'll see lots of funny things like '=0D'
at the end of each line. Consult Ralph's FAQ for ways to
inform your mail client that you wish to wrap your lines at 72
characters (or less). Also, if you're sending HTML mail, or mail
as an attachment, you may see something funny in your bio. If you
see a problem, first fix your mail program. Then mail me a good
version of it and I'll update it.
* Finally, if I've misspelled your name, made other errors, or
want out, just drop me a line. Your email address is obscured by
the archiver, so you needn't worry about getting spam as a result
of having a bio.
The FAQ is at http://www.brendlers.net/oldtools/OTFAQ.htm, and your bios
can be picked from the list at:

Thanks!
Actual tool content: The guy down the street drove his truck into my
mailbox yesterday, so I had to fix it -- I used a Goodell Pratt brace
with a Millers Falls chain drill to bore holes through 8 inches of 4 x 4
in order to bolt the cross-pieces together with carriage bolts. Also
wound up using a 1" mortise chisel, bit extender, Disston #23 crosscut
saw, Millers Falls eggbeater and a Yankee screwdriver (#131) in the
reconstruction. He did leave a apologetic note and offered to pay,
which I thought was very considerate. The mail in the box was unharmed.
