This is another place where I have found old to be better. I gave up on my
Sears coping saw frame when I bought one stamped Stanley. That one went when
I bought a box lot w/ a couple of no name old coping saws in it. Since then,
I have come up w/ several other old coping saw frames that were just as
good. (Sorry, all the extras have found good homes since.) All I can say is
they are simply stiffer and the joint where the blade holder passes through
the frame is tighter.

We had a discussion on this about a year ago, you may want to check the
archive as there were some suggestions for modern frames that some people
were satisfied with.
