Morning all, Hi, I'm Roger, and I have an Oldtool problem. Seems I discovered oldtools when I was but a young lad. Assisting dad, whilst doing general maintenence on our humble abode. I seem to recall a jack plane and a couple of pretty neat hand saws (we werent allowed to use the handsaws) for some reason. Plus a brace and full bitset rolled up in oiled cheese cloth. I'm from about 35 miles southwest of Chicago, Married, 45yo with 2 grown boys, and one almost grown. I am a carpenter by trade doing mostly commercial work now that involves steel studs and lots of concrete. I managed to weasel myself into one of the Galootapalooza events 3 years ago, did the LaFox meet, and the rest as they say is history. Like to hit the fleas, and antique stores and can't seem to pass up a decent handsaw, spokeshave or nice plane. Wes Groot introduced me to the slippery slope of infills. Thanks Wes! I am considering trying to put together a half set of H&R's, and some wooden moulding planes but havn't started down that slope yet. I really enjoy reading all the querries and responses on the list. And someday hope to be able to answer some questions instead of just posing questions. Roger Turnbough MWTCA member FOYBIPO South of Chicago (Ralphs southside neighbor almost) | |||
